with entrepreneurship on the rise in South Africa, here are my five tips that every entrepreneur should know. One, invest in a professionally designed logo. It's easy to stand up, but it's hard to stand out. Having a professionally designed logo will allow you to do just that. It will also give you the confidence in your business. A great looking logo will help you to build brand credibility, trust and loyalty.

Number two, marketing. Make sure you have a solid marketing plan. There is no point in having a great product. If no one knows about you. Make sure you look at all aspects of marketing from PR, activations, digital and social media marketing, and find the right channels for your business to ensure that you're reaching your right target market.

number three sales sales solves everything. You need to commit to action and set aside time every day for sales. Without sales you don't have a business. So ensure that you are figuring out your customers pain and offering them a solution. And remember, value first and price. Second, deliver value every time to your customers to ensure repeat sales, your finances if business was a game, money is how you keep score that you must gain control of it or the lack of it will forever control you. Keep your costs low. Make sure you're pricing your product correctly. And don't forget to charge for your time. Cash is king.

Number five my final tip is to have a plan. A plan cannot take off in Cape Town and arrive in Johannesburg without a plan. Just like a business cannot grow and move forward without a strategy and a business plan. Ensure flexibility as we do live in uncertain times, but still have a clear plan for your business. This will clear clarity and direction for both you and your team.
