Mbalenhle is the Founder of Ifutho Investments; a 100% black, youth and woman owned business. Ngcobo possesses a Communication Science degree from the University of South Africa and an honour in Media and Cultural Studies from the University of KwaZulu Natal.

Furthermore, she has successfully completed her business training at Raizcorp business accelerator; Ifutho was one of the finalists at the 2021 Ilembe Chamber entrepreneur competition. In 2019, she was part of the Phumelela beneficiaries; a business accelerator programme powered by Engie (Avon Peaking Power) designed for small businesses that were starting up. She has also participated in a National youth Development Agency (NYDA) programme.
