Paul founded Sureswipe with leading a small team of passionate individuals. In 2019, Sureswipe was acquired by Crossfin Technology Holdings, a FinTech investment company, and Apis Growth Fund I.

In May 2019, Sureswipe together with other Crossfin and Apis investments were consolidated to form CTS now known as Adumo, as a co-founder Paul was appointed as CEO of Adumo. Adumo’s vision is to create an open and fair payment industry that drives economic inclusion and business growth by becoming the leading payments enabler with the influence to reconstitute the payments market for the benefit of all stakeholders.

With Paul at the helm, Adumo brings together South Africa’s largest independent payments companies under one Fintech conglomerate; Innervation Pan African Payments, iKhokha, Sureswipe, humble software. The recent acquisitions of GAAP, a leading point of sale company, Wirecard, an online payment and debit order gateway and SwitchPay a consumer lending platform has added strength and diversity to Adumo. Adumo now offers more than payments, with a portfolio that spans from working capital requirements, an in-store credit marketplace, electronic voucher distribution and card issuance.

Over the last couple of years, Paul has been nominated for a number of prestigious awards and is recognised as an industry leader in the financial services sector. In 2018, Paul was named as the National Entrepreneur Champion by the NSBC, a highly esteemed award that highlights innovation, grit and determination and is a testament to Paul Kent’s dynamic vision, passion, and leadership.
